Sequoyah County Commissioners have approved a resolution and agreement to begin the bid process for replacement of a bridge over Little Skin Bayou located a mile west of Muldrow on Old Highway 64 (Sequoyah Street). The project is part of the County Improvement for Roads and Bridges (CIRB) program.
“We’re at the point now we’ve got all the easements, now we’re fixing to go out for bids,” Dist. 1 Commissioner Ray Watts said.
In other business, the commissioners approved a request to pay a purchase order for the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, an expense encumbered in fiscal year 2022-23, but which will be paid with funds from fiscal year 2023-24.
Also approved were appointments for the Court Clerk’s Office of Kristina Qualls and Gina Cox as requisitioning officers, as well as Tina McMurtry and Larisia Bennet as receiving officers, for fiscal year 2023-24.
