A Sallisaw man was reportedly struck by a motorist on Friday evening near Roland.
According to an accident report issued by Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the injury collision happened about 7:36 p.m on Hwy. 64/County Road N. 4810, about three miles east of Roland and remains under investigation as of press time.
The report states Joshua Lewis, 20, of Sallisaw, was transported to Washington Regional by Pafford EMS where he was admitted in stable condition with head and leg injuries after reportedly being struck by a 2021 Nissan Versa.
David Rankin, 31, of McAlester, who was driving the Versa, was not injured during the collision.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Galvan #311 with the Sequoyah Detachment of Troop C, along with assistance from Troopers Harriman #599, Aden #211, Smith #795, and Roland Police and Fire Departments.
