The Sequoyah County Health Department in Sallisaw will offer nocost Diabetes Conversation Mapping classes to the public each Thursday in February. The class will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sequoyah County Health Department and is offered to anyone affected by or at risk of diabetes.
Through this conversation- based engagement and education program, participants will take a journey down the path to better diabetes management. They’ll explore what diabetes is, the relationship between food and diabetes, how to better monitor and understand blood glucose results, and discuss the long-term effects of diabetes over time.
