Roland Youth League Wrestling members place at Brushy Christmas Brawl

Roland Youth League Wrestling saw a 1-2 finish at 55 pounds in the age 6-and-younger division as Gunner Crossno defeated fellow teammate Kord Earnhart in the finals of the 2023 Brushy Christmas Brawl, which took place Dec. 23.

Noah Click won the organizations other first-place medal as he won the age 6-and-younger divisions 43-pound weight class championship.

Bretley “Gage” Peters was runnerup at 52 pounds in the age 6-andyounger division.

The majority of the members were in a round-robin match style of action.

Zayne McGrew (age 8-andyounger division, 43 pounds) and Drew Simpson (age 15-and-younger, 195-205 pounds) each went 2-0, while Tye Richards (age 8-andyounger, 49) and Sawyer Rainwater (age 10-and-younger, 73) were 1-1 on the day.

AnnaMarie Moore was 2-1 in the 75-pound weight class in the girls age 8-and-younger division, while Drew Schultz (age 8-and-younger division, 83 pounds) and Truex Goode (age 10-and-younger, 61-64 pounds) each were 1-2.

Kash Earnhart (age 12-and-younger division, 84 pounds), Zaiden Jones (age 12-and-younger, 140), Jerry Crossno (age 15-and-younger, 92) and Payton Sampley (girls age 12-and-younger, 125-135) each went 0-2, while Raven Tally went 0-3 at 88 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.

Reed Richards, Ryder Real, Chipper Stubbs, Christian Goode, Bowdrie Peters and Matthew McGhee also competed for the organization but did not place.
