Several Brushy Wrestling Club members placed in their own tournament, the Brushy Christmas Brawl, which took place Dec. 23.
Seth Glover (age 10-and-younger, 67 pounds) took home first place, while Rylan Henry (10-and-younger, 70) was runner-up. Henry also went 3-0 in round-robin action in the age 8-and-younger, 70-pound division.
Harley Frederick finished third in the girls age 6-and-younger division in the 40-43-pound weight division, while Liliana Guerrero (girls age 6-and-younger, 5560 pounds), Dominic Guerrero (age 8-andyounger, 67) and Chase Taylor (age 10-andyounger, 80) all placed fourth.
Other members, like Henry, solely participated in round-robin events. Abel Glover went 2-0 in the age 8-andyounger division in the 64-pound division and was 3-0 at 61-64 pounds in the 10-and-younger division. Layton Cross went 2-0 in the age 8-and-younger division in the 90-pound division, Braxton Pinkston went 2-0 in the age 8-and-younger heavyweight division, Avie Lamp went 2-0 in the girls age 12-and-younger division at 58 pounds and was 2-0 in the girls age 10-and-younger division at 52-57 pounds and Rocklyn Johnson went 2-0 in both the girls 12-and-younger 98-pound division and the girls age 15-andyounger at 97-102 pounds.
Sebastian Guerrero went 3-1 and Hayley Bentley 2-2 in the age 12-and-younger division at 92 pounds. Bentley also went 2-0 in the girls age 12-and-younger 91-pound division.
Gipsee Reed went 3-1 in the girls age 10-andyounger 170-pound division and 1-2 in the girls age 12-andyounger division at 115 pounds, while Jolie Taylor went 2-2 in the girls age 10-and-younger division at 170 pounds.
Tristen Cross went 2-1 at 76 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division, while going 1-1 in the age 12-andyounger division also at 76 pounds.
Billy Oliver went 1-1 in the age 15-andyounger division at 170 pounds, Ruby Johnson went 1-1 in the girls age 8-and-younger division at 62 pounds and Jessie Bentley went 1-2 in the girls age 8-and-younger division at 75 pounds.
Several other members who participated but did not place were Zek Garrett, Preston Cross, Knox Martin-McGowan, Isaac Glover, Weston Gee, Carson Limore, Patrick Fletcher, Chance Taylor, Oliver Frederick, Mason Barker, Bryson Lamb (10U, 85 lbs) and Lux Martin-McGowan.
