Two Muldrow Bulldogs football players made the All-District 3A-3 Football Team for the 2023 season, fullback/linebacker Will Stratmann and running back/linebacker Cody Gibbs.
Stratmann rushed for 69 yards and scored a touchdown on offense, while he had 24 tackles, 18 of which were solo, five tackles for loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks, a fumble recovery and a caused fumble on defense.
Gibbs only got to play in three games this past season due to injury. He rushed for 128 yards in those three games and scored a TD, while catching three passes for 13 yards. Defensively, he had 23 tackles in three games, 14 of which were solo, and a tackle for loss to go with four QB hurries and a fumble recovery.
The Bulldogs had a rough 2023 season, going 1-9 with their lone win coming Sept. 1 with a 3814 road win over Sequoyah-Tahlequah — which evened their record at the time at 1-1 after they lost the week before the annual “Battle of 64” 21-14 to archrival Roland. After the win over Sequoyah-Tahlequah, the ’Dogs lost their final eight games of the season, including all seven district games.
