The Dollar General in Roland is receiving new life as it transitions into a Dollar General (DG) Market.
The store, located on Ray Fine Blvd., suffered extensive damage from a July windstorm that also brought down many trees and power lines in eastern Sequoyah County.
As a DG Market, the store will offer fresh produce, vegetables and meat, in addition to some other non-food items, like household goods, some home decor, and seasonal items. “We are excited to be able to re-open at this location,” said a representative from Dollar General. “We hoped to open much sooner but as we began to rebuild, we decided to make the transition to a DG Market… as it offers our customers quality food for way less than other places, and they don’t have to drive to Walmart or Fort Smith.”
Despite being across the street from a grocery store, Dollar General says that their offerings will be slightly different, and their prices will be much lower.
Acording to the representative, the store is expected to open sometime in early 2024.
