WARNER — The Roland Rangers football season ended with a nine-game losing streak after they lost 27-9 to the host Warner Eagles on Friday night.
Trailing 7-0 after a quarter and 14-0 with 9:53 left before halftime, the Rangers (1-9 overall, 0-7 in District 2A-5 play) got on the board on Logan Lorenz’s 32yard field goal with 7.4 seconds left to cut the Roland deficit to 14-3 at halftime. Unfortunately, that was as close as the Rangers would get.
The Eagles (3-7, 2-5) scored a touchdown in the third quarter and one with 9:50 left in the game to take a 27-3 lead.
The final points of the season for the Rangers came with 3:52 remaining in the fourth quarter as Dalton Crossno scored on a 13-yard TD run.
For the game, Ashton Peters led Roland with 61 yards rushing, while Logen Thomas threw for 68 yards — with 49 of those yards coming on three passes to Crossno.
