District Attorney Jack Thorp, right, presents Roland K-9 Officer Tyler Ragan with over $310,000 in forfeiture checks. These funds were derived from investigations following traffic stops involving the illicit transport of drug proceeds. Throughout the course of the investigation(s), a nexus was established between the currency and Criminal Organizations throughout the U.S. allowing forfeiture of the currency seized. These funds will be used to purchase equipment and send officers to the necessary trainings that will provide the Roland Police Department with better resources and more knowledge to fight the continuous battle of narcotics distribution throughout our community.
