Belfonte Public School students in grades sixth-eighth recently competed in the ICTC You Build It Challenge after a month of building.
Their theme, “Buildings In Your Community,” was a little challenging this year, but they knocked it out of the park! Anglen’s Grocery won first place in eighth grade and was the overall Grand Champion. Each student in the group was awarded a gift card, and Mrs. Parks got to bring home the beautiful wooden Adirondack chair made by ICTC students as the champion advisor.
Bellefonte Baptist Church won third place in sixth grade, and the Yellow Bridge was fourth place in seventh grade by one point.
Overall, all of the students worked hard on their projects and did a great job. Their projects will be displayed for the public at the Fall Festival on Nov. 9.
