Muldrow man pronounced deceased at hospital
A fatal collision that occurred on the night of Oct. 26 has claimed the life of a 70-year-old Muldrow resident.
According to the accident report, Edward Brogdon was driving a 2001 GMC Sierra traveling eastbound on 1100 Road when the tragic accident unfolded. The vehicle inexplicably departed the roadway on 317 Oakdale Rd., located about 200 feet east of Muldrow, and collided with a tree. The impact was severe, resulting in serious damage to the vehicle.
Brogdon was rushed to Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. by Pafford EMS immediately after the accident. Sadly, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Brogdon was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by authorities. Trooper Jordan Galvan, #311, of the Sequoyah County Detachment of Troop C, is leading the inquiry, with the assistance of Trooper Devin Harriman, #599, also from the Sequoyah County Detachment of Troop C.
Muldrow’s Fire and Police Departments were also on the scene to provide support and assistance.
The use of seatbelts by the driver is currently under investigation, and further details regarding the condition of the driver are also pending the outcome of the investigation.
