HENRYETTA — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs cross country team will have one more meet left — and it’s the biggest one of the year.
The Lady Bulldogs qualified as a team for state by finishing fifth with 193 points at Saturday morning’s Class 4A Regional Meet. The top seven teams automatically qualified all their runners for state.
The Class 4A State Meet will be at 9 a.m. this Saturday at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Senior Katelynn Moore was the fastest Lady Bulldog as she ran the two-mile race in 13:37.85 to finish 17th.
Senior Cailey Grinstead was 36th (14:20.29), sophomore Genna Stephenson was 43rd (14:50.06), senior Kennedy Moore was 46th (14:54.04), freshman Emma Fields was 63rd (15:29.17), junior Noa Coleman was 82nd (16:33.15) and junior Maysi Fields was 85th (16:42.17).
The Bulldogs were not as fortunate as they did not finish in the top seven as a team to qualify everyone, nor did any one finish in the top seven who were not on a state-qualifying team roster.
The ’Dogs finished in 12th place with 310 points.
The highest finisher for the Muldrow boys was freshman Jesse Kilinc, who finished the 5K race in 46th place with a time of 20:04.23, about 36 seconds behind the runner who grabbed the last individual berth to state — Jay’s Orion Tsosie, who finished 32nd (19:28.1).
Senior Gibson Price was 61st (20.38.21), sophomore Wyatt Prewett was 68th (21:02.78), junior Kendal Howell was 73rd (21:11.14), senior Maliki Albertson was 76th (21:17.54), junior Jaxson Anstine was 100th (22:32.49) and junior Hayden Bullock was 106th (23:24.35).
