The Gans Grizzlies suffered their third consecutive District B-6 loss as they fell 30-14 to the visiting Arkoma Mustangs on Thursday night at Grizzly Field.
The Mustangs (2-6 overall, 1-2 in district play) led 24-6 at halftime with the lone first-half Gans touchdown coming on a fourth-down 14-yard TD pass from Hunter Walters to Kennedy White, but the Grizzlies (2-6, 0-3) cut their deficit to 24-14 in the third quarter on Clay Martinez’s 45-yard touchdown run but got no closer as Arkoma scored the game’s last TD.
The Mustangs held the Grizzlies to 138 yards of offense with 59 of that passing yards and 79 of those yards rushing, while 441 yards on offense themselves — including a whopping 356 yards on the ground.
