In Class 4A Regional Tournament
MIAMI, Okla. — The 2023 fast-pitch softball season came to an end for the Muldrow Lady Bulldogs as they suffered a pair of 10-0 losses to the Dewey Lady Bulldoggers in the Class 4A Regional Tournament which took place Wednesday and Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs end the season at 11-16. In Wednesday’s 10-0 loss to Dewey, the Lady Bulldoggers (26-10) got a six-hitter from pitcher Reagan White, who struck out five batters in six innings.
Dewey scored twice in the first inning, once in the third inning, four runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Amarie Duran was 2-for-3, while Kaydence Young doubled for Muldrow.
Jaydin Dean took the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in five innings. Young pitched the sixth inning and got a strikeout.
In Thursday’s 10-0 loss to Dewey, the Lady Bulldoggers scored once in the first inning and three runs in the third inning for a 4-0 lead, then scored six runs in the sixth inning to put the game into run-rule status.
White once again baffled Muldrow hitters, throwing a four-hitter with seven Ks.
In defeat, Dean, Ashley Price, Amaya Duran and Kaira Qualls each singled for Muldrow’s four hits. Young took the loss, despite recording four strikeouts in 5.2 innings.
