“The Lord is my light and my salvat ion; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” (Ps. 27:1).
Let’s sing!
Blessèd assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior, all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior, all the day long.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him” (Ps. 28:7).
Jesus loves me! What a message! These three words mean so much to me. May I never forget them. He is my “assurance” of eternal life because I believed and repented of sin.
Blessed assurance Jesus is mine! He is forever mine! I am forever His! He loves me, cares for me and protects me from the evil wicked one. Yes! I have been attacked, but only after God permitted the attack. The Father is always watching out for me. He knows when to yank the devil’s chain.
For the past 58 years I have tried to serve the Lord. He, through the power of the Holy Spirit, has helped me along the way to study His Word, learn to pray, witness and worship. I need Him more and more each day as I continue to serve Him. There is always a battle to fight. The battles will continue until Jesus returns for His Church. I am a born again member of His Church. Praise the Lord! One day soon no more battles! Praise Him!
At the age of 14 God spoke to my heart and I yielded, became a “full blooded” member of the family of God and it was by His blood. I rededicated my life Sept. 15, 1965.
It still amazes me how He took the time to speak to a young girl living in Muldrow Okla. He continues to amazes me how He has never taken His eyes off me. He is so faithful!
He keeps me, and hides me under His wings from the wicked one who continues to oppress me. (Ps. 17:89) (I paraphrased this just for me.) I see, hear and feel His presence constantly in my life.
The past several years have been very trying. Satan has attacked my family, but God always picks us up. I have also had my down times, and He always lifts me up into His fellowship. Praise Him! Great is His faithfulness! Jesus is mine! Can you say “Blessed assurance Jesus is mine.” I pray you can.
My prayer is that I will always be wise enough to recall His faithfulness, praising Him!
“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail” (Luke 22:31-32).
The devil is still seeking to “sift” us as he seeks to hinder our witness for Christ. But if we remain steady on our “spiritual feet” being faithful and remember the links in his chain are numbered. The devil continues to hinder us sometimes making wrong decisions in the Christian’s life, but praise God we will come through and glorify Him.
“He delivered me from my strong enemy… He delivered me because He delighted in me” (Ps. 18:17-19).
“The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted” (Ps. 18:46).
Christian, let us praise Him constantly. He so loved us when we didn’t love Him.
My words can’t truly express my love and joy of service all these years to His work. He has greatly blessed me and continues to. I would never want to live life on earth without Him in my heart. My True Friend!
Praise Him! I hope you will continue to remember all He has done for you.
“For praise from the upright is beautiful” (Ps. 33:1).
Unbeliever, you don’t know what you are missing. Ask God to forgive you, trust Jesus. He loves you.
