Muldrow Bulldogs lose heartbreaking district opener to Checotah

It was a rough District 3A-3 opener for the Muldrow Bulldogs as they lost a heartbreaking 7-6 road game to the host Checotah Wildcats at Ogle Field.

The lone score for the Bulldogs (1-4 overall, 0-1 in district play) came on Reid Sutton’s touchdown pass to Jermauree Palmer. However, the conversion attempt was unsuccessful, which would prove costly as the Wildcats (4-1, 1-0) made their extra point after their TD.

In defeat, Ashton Foster rushed for a teamhigh 95 yards, while Sutton completed six passes for 18 yards — with one of those being the touchdown pass to Palmer.
