The scientific method
Mrs. Sutterfield’s seventh and eighth grade science classes at Roland Middle School had lots of fun while learning about the steps of the scientific method. The students had to create boats out of tin foil and then hypothesize how many pennies the boat would hold before it sinks. They tested their hypothesis and recorded the results. In the end the following two teams were able to hold the most pennies: For the seventh grade class it was Ronnie Daws, Brycen Martin and Logan Waltermire with 131; and for the eighth grade class, it was Austin Benham, Channing McKinney and Phoenix Miller, who also had 131.
