The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs opened last week with a road district loss to the Broken Bow Lady Savages by a score of 10-0 on Sept. 11.
The Lady Bulldogs had their home district game against Checotah rained out Tuesday, and it was rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Due to Roland’s homecoming festivities, Thursday’s three-way at Roland with Vian was canceled.
In the loss to Broken Bow, Broken Bow pitcher Maliyah Carney threw a six-hitter with eight strikeouts.
After the Lady Savages scored twice in the second inning and once in the third inning for a 3-0 lead, Broken Bow put the game into runrule status with a sevenrun fifth inning.
In defeat, Amarie Duran was 2-for-2, while Danica Tune, Ashley Price, Amaya Duran and Jaydance Dean all singled for the Lady Bulldogs (9-13 overall, 1-7 in district play). Jaydin Dean took the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
