History will be made at the old Muldrow Golf Course on Thursday morning as the first-ever Muldrow Invitational cross country meet will take place.
The high school girls’ race will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the high school boys’ race at approximately 10:15 a.m.
“We’re pretty excited about it,” Muldrow girls cross country coach Debra Silva-McDonald said.
“We’re pretty excited about having our first meet,” Muldrow boys cross country coach Terry Collins said. “We just want to make sure we present a good meet.”
Since the old Muldrow Golf Course is where the Lady Bulldogs and ’Dogs practice daily, both Muldrow coaches believe that will give their runners a good advantage.
“I think it’s a huge advantage,” Silva-McDonald said. “They know where all the holes and hills are.”
“I’m hoping it will help them be more familiar with the nooks and crannies, and also give them a lot of confidence to go out and compete,” Collins said.
