Muldrow, Brushy girls win team titles at Heavener CC Meet; Central runner wins JH title

HEAVENER — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs and the Brushy Lady Mountaineers cross country teams won their respective meet team titles in Tuesday’s Heavener High School Cross Country Meet.

In the high school girls’ division, the Lady Bulldogs scored 34 points, with Wright City second with 42 points and the host Heavener Lady Wolves third with 44 points.

The Lady Bulldogs got a 1-2 finish from Cailey Grinstead and Katelynn Moore. Grinstead ran the one-mile course in 15:44, with Moore 14 seconds behind at 15:58.

As for the rest of the Muldrow girls runners, Genna Stephenson was eighth (17:11), Kennady Moore was 19th (18:45), Maysi Fields was 27th (23:13), Noa Coleman was 29th (23:51) and Isabelle Rogers was 30th (24:27).

In the junior high girls’ division, the Lady Mountaineers won the team title with 39 points, finishing ahead of host Heavener (58 points), Wister (65), Hodgen (88), McCurtain (105) and Arkoma (160).

Central’s Emma Baggs won the individual JH girls title as she ran the one-mile course in a time of 7:57. Teammates Sadie Huff (ninth, 8:48), Sara Williams (8:50) and Cobie Cawhorn (15th, 9:02) also placed in the meet.

Brushy’s highest finisher in the JH girls race was Elizabeth Fleetwood, who came in third (8:16). Scarlett Harrison was fifth (8:19), Avie Lamp was seventh (8:26), Peyton Campbell was 19th (9:17), Lilly Mcinnerney was 20th (9:27), Phebi McMurtry was 21st (9:44) and Jaden Fleetwood was 28th (10:19).

The Muldrow Bulldogs finished third in the team standings in the high school boys’ 5K race with 78 points.

Jesse Kilinc was the highest Bulldog to finish as he was 11th (22:25). Gibson Price was 17th (23:28), Wyatt Prewett was 18th (7:40), Kenoy Releford was 19th (23:49), Kendal Howell was 23rd (25:04), Maliki Albertson was 25th (25:33), Hayden McKinster was 35th (27:28), ZeShan Bukhari was 39th (27:55), Jaxson Anstine was 48th (30:45), Hayden Bullock was 49th (30:49), Kashan Bukhari was 50th (31:02), Seth Nance was 51st (31:03), Andrew Prewett was 54th (31:59) and Parker Sevenstar was 68th (37:36).

In the junior high boys’ one-mile race, Central and Brushy had runners place. Central’s Caden Bair was fourth (14:16), Brushy’s Ryder Justice was 25th (18:36), Central’s Ian Greer was 30th (20:56) and Central’s Mason Louthan was 41st (23:44).
