In the loss to Keota, the Lady Lions jumped out to a 3-0 lead after an inning en route to a 7-0 advantage by the second inning.
The Lady Grizzlies scored three runs in the third inning to get back into the game as Gabbie Price stole home and Aaliyah Taylor hit a tworun double to cut the Gans deficit to 7-3 after three innings.
After Keota scored once in the fourth inning to make it 8-3, Gans scored twice on Melania Paniagua’s tworun groundout to cut the deficit to 8-5 after five innings, but the Lady Grizzlies got no closer.
