POCOLA — The Central Lady Tigers lost a road game to the Pocola Lady Indians by the score of 9-1 on Sept. 5.
Pocola pitcher Allyssa Parker threw a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts in six innings.
The Lady Indians broke a scoreless tie with a four-run second inning.
After a Pocola error allowed Ayrland Jiles to score in the fourth inning to cut Central’s deficit to 4-1, the Lady Indians put the game into run-rule status with a single run in both the fourth and fifth innings, followed by a three-run sixth inning.
In defeat, Jiles was 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Lady Tigers (3-16). Jiles (3-16) took the loss, despite fanning two batters in 5.2 innings.
