TAHLEQUAH — The Muldrow Bulldogs used a second-half comeback to overcome a two-touchdown halftime deficit to win going away by a score of 36-14 over the Sequoyah- Tahlequah Indians on Friday night at Doc Wadley Stadium on the campus of Northeastern State University.
Trailing 14-0 at halftime, the Bulldogs (1–1) outscored the Indians 36-0 in the second half.
Muldrow got the game tied at 14-all after three quarters with two touchdowns in the period, an Ashton Foster 3-yard TD run and a Will Stratmann 4-yard TD run after which Foster scored the twopoint conversion.
’Dogs put away the game with a 22-point fourth quarter. The go-ahead touchdown came on a 51-yard TD pass from Reid Sutton to Trenton Irvan. Foster hit Jemauree Palmer on the two-point conversion for a 22-14 advantage for Muldrow.
Cody Gibbs then scored on a 13-yard touchdown run with Palmer scoring the two-point conversion to up Muldrow’s lead to 30-14.
Muldrow sealed the deal with a 79-yard interception return for a TD by Teaguen Collins.
