It was a rough week last week for the Muldrow Lady Bulldogs as they lost all four district games.
The Lady Bulldogs started the week with an 11-0 district home loss to Poteau on Aug. 28, which was followed by a 9-1 district road loss to Stigler on Aug. 29.
The week ended Friday afternoon with the Lady Bulldogs being swept by the Fort Gibson Lady Tigers by scores of 4-1 and 12-4 In the road district loss to Stigler, the Lady Panthers broke a scoreless tie with a six-run second inning and a three-run third inning for a 9-0 lead.
The lone run for the Lady Bulldogs (6-10 overall, 1-5 in district play) scored in the sixth inning on a twoout, RBI single by Kaira Qualls.
In defeat, Danica Tune was 2-for-4 with a double, Amaya Duran was 2-for-4 and Ashley Price doubled and scored the lone run for Muldrow.
Kaydence Young suffered her first loss of the season, going the first two innings. Duran went the final four innings.
In the district loss to Poteau, the Poteau pitching combination of Annika Dill and Emma Hackler combined on a five-hitter.
The Lady Pirates scored once in the first and fourth innings for a 2-0 lead, then put the game into run-rule status with a five-run fifth inning and a fourrun sixth inning.
In defeat, Kaydence Young was 2-for-3, while Amarie Duran doubled for the Lady Bulldogs. Jaydin Dean took the loss, despite fanning three batters in 4.1 innings. Duran pitched the final 1.2 innings.
In the first game loss to Fort Gibson, the Lady Tigers broke a 1-all tie with a three-run sixth inning.
In defeat, Tune was 2-for-3, while Amarie Duran, Price and Qualls each singled for Muldrow. Dean took the loss.
There was nothing more reported on the second game with Fort Gibson by deadline.
