The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (ODEMHS) is now accepting applications for the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program. Municipal, county, and tribal governments, education institutions, and state agencies are eligible to apply for grants to address cybersecurity risks and threats to information systems.

The grant funding is provided to ODEMHS by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to help improve the security of critical infrastructure and resilience of the services that state, local, and tribal governments provide to their communities.

Applications will be considered by the State of Oklahoma Cybersecurity Committee, which meets quarterly. Applications must be submitted by 3 p.m. on September 8 to be considered at the September committee meeting. A local cost share may be required.

The goals and objectives for the grant program are to implement cyber governance and planning, assess and evaluate systems and capabilities, mitigate prioritized cybersecurity issues, and build a cybersecurity workforce. A strong application will include an emphasis on planning, assessments, monitoring, and/ or training.
