A Roland woman is facing felony charges of child neglect, child endangerment by permitting presence at manufacturing of controlled dangerous substance, and maintaining place for keeping/ selling controlled substance after she was found to be using drugs in front of a minor child and failed to protect another minor child from sexual abuse.
Alesha Webb, 32, was formally charged on April 28 in Sequoyah County District Court and a felony warrant was issued for her arrest the same day, according to court records. Roland Police officer Chris Waters reported on March 22 that an investigation into child sexual abuse took place at Gardenwalk Apartments in Roland after it was reported to Officer Tyler Ragan that Webb had a video on her cell phone allegedly showing a minor under the age of 16 being sexually abused.
The officers made contact with Webb at the apartment complex where she turned over her cell phone to them. The video reportedly showed the minor in a sexual act with Stephen Oxford, who was charged on March 29 in Sequoyah County District court with three counts of lewd indecent acts to a child under 16, one count of child neglect, and two counts of threaten to perform act of violence.
Webb said she had used a “nanny cam” in her room, which reportedly caught the sexual act on video.
Search warrants were obtained for Webb’s cell phone and the “nanny cam” which reportedly showed numerous images and videos of drug use in the apartment with a minor child under the age of 4 inside. According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, there were at least eight days showing drug use by Webb while the minor child was present with her in the residence.
The cell phone also reportedly edly contained screen shot images of a minor under the age of 16 performing a sexual act with Oxford, which were dated March 10. Webb reportedly alleged the video happened on March 16.
During an interview on April 21, Webb told authorities she didn’t report the video to law enforcement because she knew there were videos of her using drugs and she didn’t want to get in trouble. As a result, it reportedly kept Oxford in the residence for another nine to 10 days, according to the affidavit. Oxford reportedly left the residence on March 19, according to the affidavit.
