Muldrow – Memorial services for Julia “Lori” House, 84, were held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Muldrow.
Cremation is under Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith, Ark.
Mrs. House was born to Lonnie and Sadie Hosea, and passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
She married Douglas Ray House Sr. on Feb. 26, 1960. He preceded her in death in December 2018.
She relocated to Muldrow in December 2019, to be near her son, Ray. She became active in the Challengers Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, and also in the Kozy Quilters and food pantry, sponsored by the Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors are four children, Patricia Lorraine Bastion (Les), Douglas Ray House, Jr. (Jayna), Howard Roy House (Tina), and George Coleman House; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Reece (Robbie) and Sharon Dendy (Woody); two brothers, James Hosea (Frances) and Howard Hosea (Diane); and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; in-laws, Alex and Annie House; granddaughter, Loryn K. House; great-granddaughter, Abby B. Hargett; five brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice or to the food pantry sponsored by Trinity Methodist, Muldrow.
