Sallisaw – Graveside memorial services for Joan Burleson, 82, of Sallisaw, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burleson was born on April 1, 1941, in Sunray, Texas, to James Glen Craig and Josephine (Carpenter) Craig. She died on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was a nurse. She married Bob Burleson on April 7, 1961, in Texhoma.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of the home; one son, Russel and Tina Burleson of Sallisaw; one brother, Fred Craig of Enid; one granddaughter; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Madelyn McMahan.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
