The Roland FFA Floriculture Team placed first at the Roland Invitational Career Development Event, held on April 13. The team competed against teams from Oklahoma and Arkansas in the event. Team members were tested on general horticulture knowledge, mathematics problems related to the horticulture industry, had to identify horticulture, pests and plant disorders, and identify 40 common horticulture plants. Team members were, Janessa Peters, Natalie Brunk, Lacy Long, Autumn Johnson, and Sage Potts. Long was first place individual, Johnson was second place individual, and Potts was the fifth place individual.
